Genetic genealogy can be complicated, but it can also add incredible richness and depth to your family story. After years of traditional research combined with DNA testing and genetic genealogy techniques, Jane has made significant progress on difficult family lines and has discovered intriguing clues. She will demonstrate the many features of AncestryDNA and her approach to using them.
Jane has been Vice President and Program Chair of CVGS since 2015. As a librarian in the Special Collections Division of the Akron-Summit County Public Library, she has been assisting researchers with genealogy and local history research since 2007. She teaches a yearly six-week course, Genealogical Research Skills, for the Institute for Learning in Retirement at Baldwin Wallace University. Jane is also the author of several articles published in genealogical journals and is currently a trustee and newsletter editor for the Ohio Chapter of Palatines to America.
